History

The charitable organisation ‘100 Percent Life Network Rivne’ was established as a patient community for mutual support and protection of patients’ rights. In 2008, the Rivne Regional Branch of the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV was officially registered (in 2016, the name was changed to the charitable organisation ‘100 Percent Life Network Rivne’). Initially, it was active in the field of HIV services, organising psychosocial support for people living with HIV. The first services provided by the organisation were representing the interests of PLHIV, home care, and palliative care for PLHIV. Since 2009, they have been represented on the Rivne Regional Coordination Council for HIV/AIDS and TB Prevention, participating in the drafting of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention programmes that were adopted in the region from 2009 to 2017.

During its existence, the organisation has provided support to more than 1,500 patients and implemented more than 25 projects. The charitable organisation ‘100 Percent Life Network Rivne’ has extensive experience in organising training courses, seminars and other educational activities. Since 2013, the organisation has been a leader in advocacy in the field of palliative care. Between 2013 and 2018, a series of events were organised to develop the organisational and advocacy capacity of CSOs in the field of palliative care. More than 60 CSOs in the field of palliative care took part in the events (the activities were implemented with the support of ISAR ‘Yednannia’ and the European Union).

The organisation has experience in training medical professionals (nurses and doctors). In particular, in 2015, training sessions were organised on the handling of narcotic substances in healthcare facilities for medical professionals in the Volyn and Rivne regions.

The organisation provides services in the cities of Rivne, Varash, Dubno, Rivne, Ostroh, Kostopil, Sarny, and Hoscha districts. All of these territorial units have employees, volunteers, and service points. The organisation’s activities also cover four prisons in the Rivne region.
